We had a lovely stay. Our room was comfortable, clean and cosy. The hotel is full of character. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Forest and lake walks close by. Everything was perfect except the weather but hey it was December!

Thanks for giving Bernie and I a lovely weekend. You certainly made her birthday very special and I'm sure I'll forever be known as the 'double six king' from now on. We had a lovely walk up Dodd summit, the views were spectacular and not too difficult a walk for those who don't like a hard climb. We are looking forward to coming back again. Although we only stayed for the one night, we were impressed by the friendly hospitality of our hosts. We enjoyed a our fantastic dinner and the generous breakfast. Especially the local resourced fresh bacon, sausage and local eggs, cooked to perfection. Our room was a little oasis of temporary glamour for us with a fantastic panoramic view across the valley and lake. We fully intend to return for more.....thank you all

We stayed for a night at the gorgeous Ravenstone Hotel in Jan 2012 and cannot recommend this hotel enough!! We stayed in the four poster room with the jacuzzi bath and it was magnificent. Everything from the warm welcome by name as we stepped through the door on arrival by the lovely Tina, to being brought fresh milk in our room so we could have tea, to the superb evening meal with canapes and bottle of wine and wonderful relaxed atmosphere to the scrumptious breakfast in the morning.... everything was perfect. Thankyou Tina, Adam and gang and keep doing what you are doing!!

Booked this hotel as a birthday suprise weekend away for my partner and a little alone time for mummy and daddy!!! Well i have stayed in many hotels ranging from the lakes right through to Jamaica and this hotel made us feel the most welcome and a very satisfying stay overall. The food was amazing from breakfast to evening meal. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will certainly be going back. Must add lots of people look for a more modern hotel where this hotel is very traditional but vey well executied and service is everything you could hope for!

Have stayed at Ravenstone several times over last 3 years. We went back again at Christmas 2011 and it felt like going home. Had a wonderfull time a usual. Everything about it is perfect, particularly the food! Hope to go again in April. New owners are delightful, friendly and very helpful.

Just returned from a weekend at Ravenstone and couldn't fault anything. Lovely time was had by me and my husband thanks to hosts. We will be back and will recommend to anyone. x

Comfortable hotel, staff very welcoming, food excellent. Lovely walks nearby Bar with log fire very cosy. Felt at home immediately will return soon.
